A variety of adventures awaits you all summer long in this fun and exciting series of camps. Each camp will teach basic skills for a variety of outdoor activities in a fun supervised group atmosphere.
Backpacking- Week 1 - June 2-6
Enjoy the outdoors with this fun camp. Find out what you need to know to become a skilled hiker. Learn what to pack, and how to pack it. On Friday campers will load up and go for a day-long hike on a nearby trail.
Climbing- Weeks 4, 8, & 11 -June 23-27, July 21-25, August 11-15
Come climb in the Countryside YMCA’s SUMMIT Indoor Climbing Center. Campers will learn a variety of climbing techniques and methods. Open to novice to advanced climbers.
NEW! Low Ropes - Week 6 - July 7-11
Team building and group challenges will be the focus of this fun camp designed to build trust with others in an outdoor setting. Campers will take a trip to Camp Kern on Friday.
Fly Fishing- Week 2 - June 9-13
Learn the basics of fly fishing. Casting, fly tying, and other essentials will be covered through daily lessons and hands-on demonstrations. Equipment is provided. On Friday a trip will be made to a local pond to put their new skills to use.

Extreme Expedition- Week 5 - June 30- July 3
NEW! Can’t decide which camp to go to? This camp offers a little bit of everything! Rafting, kayaking, canoeing, backpacking, and climbing will make up this fun camp. This camp will go on multiple field trips throughout the week to various waterways and trails (weather permitting).
Kayak Camp - Weeks 7 & 10 - July 14-18 & August 4-8
Youth will gain balance and confidence in their kayaking abilities through instruction from adventure enthusiast Bill Cacciolfi. This year campers will take two trips down-river on Thursday and Friday (weather permitting).
Canoe Camp- Weeks 3 & 9 - June 16-20 & July 28-August 1
Campers will now take two trips down the river in 2008. Spend the week learning the fundamentals of canoeing in our pool facility. Hands-on instruction by our staff in techniques and safety will build to 2 day-long trips down the Little Miami River on Thursday and Friday (weather permitting).
